Plant-Based Sfeeha with Mince

Ingredients:

  • 125g Thryve 100% Plant-Based Mince, Defrosted
  • 8 small, gluten-free vegan Arabic bread
  • 45g onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh tomato
  • 1 tbsp (5g) chopped mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp (5g) chopped parsley
  • 25g pomegranate molasses
  • 18g tahini
  • 3g 7 spices
  • 3g cumin
  • ¾ tsp kosher salt
  • 12g pine nuts

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 230C. Spread a generous amount of oil per baking sheet, about ¼ cup
  • Lay the Arabic bread on a work surface
  • Mix the filling ingredients together in a bowl, then fry in a pan with 1 tsp of oil over medium heat (about 5 minutes)
  • Spread about 1-2 tbsp of filling over the top of each bread, leaving space around the edge. Transfer to baking sheet
  • Bake until the bread is beginning to brown (about 4-5 minutes)
  • Transfer to a clean baking sheet and cover with a tea towel to keep soft and warm
